My name is Hajji MirSaeed Dekghan

A businessman based in Holland. I was diagnosed with cancer and experienced the physical pain, emotional distress, and psychological trauma that come with it. Despite receiving excellent care, it was an incredibly difficult journey. I couldn’t stop thinking about cancer patients in Afghanistan—how do they cope without access to proper treatment? I made a promise to donate if I recovered. After learning about the Afghan Medical Complex (AMC), I contributed an initial $125,000 and pledged the remaining amount of my $500,000 commitment as the project progresses. This cause is deeply personal to me.

Salaam, my name is Hayatullah Hashemi

As a businessman living in Europe, I believe it is a human responsibility to support efforts that save lives and reduce suffering. During Hajj, I hoped for the day a proper cancer hospital would exist for those in need, and when I learned about the Afghan Medical Complex (AMC), it felt like that hope was becoming real. I contributed €75,000 not for recognition, but because it is the right thing to do — for humanity, compassion, and the future of those who rely on this project. May this initiative become a source of healing, dignity, and hope for every patient it serves.

As a father, I’ve always believed in giving back to the land that raised me. When my son Attaullah shared his vision of establishing Afghanistan’s first dedicated cancer hospital, I felt a deep duty to support it—not only as a father, but as an Afghan. Too many lives have been lost in silence. It’s time we offered our people a fighting chance, close to home. That’s why I contributed $100,000 to the Afghan Medical Complex. This project is a lifeline, a symbol of hope, and a legacy for future generations. True giving comes from the heart.
